Temperament & care
Miniature Schnauzers are spirited, fearless little dogs with a terrier's tenacity and surprising versatility. They are friendly with family, alert to strangers, and adapt comfortably to both city apartments and country properties. Their intelligence makes them quick learners, though they can be wilful — consistent training and clear boundaries keep them at their best.
Grooming needs
Minis have a wiry outer coat and soft undercoat that needs hand-stripping (for show) or clipping every six to eight weeks by a professional groomer. Their distinctive beard and eyebrows need regular brushing to prevent food residue from matting.
