Australian Kelpie mixes inherit the Kelpie's legendary stamina, work ethic, and intense focus. Bred to work cattle across the vast Australian outback, they thrive with a job and can become destructive without adequate physical and mental outlets. When properly channelled, they are devoted, athletic companions who excel at agility, frisbee, and obedience sports.
Grooming needs
Kelpie mixes typically have a short to medium weather-resistant coat that needs brushing once or twice a week and bathing every four to six weeks. Their coats are low-maintenance overall, but skin-fold areas — if present from the mix — should be checked regularly.
